Try this one on for size. This may seem pretty far-fetched, but I’d be willing to guess there are those with money and influence who would support something like the anti-aggregation law. And if newspapers are allowed to lock down even discussion of the news, don’t think that the mentioned $7,000 per year subscription to the New York Times is all that unrealistic, either. I’m telling you, with regards to the internet, all we have to fear is lopsided, bought-and-paid-for legislation. And it’s coming. Watch out!
